Short Stories

My stories were featured in two Christmas anthologies in 2012:

Checkin' It Twice & Other Heartwarming Holiday Tales published by Rosehaven Publishers contains two of my stories. Checkin' It Twice is the second volume of award-winning Christmas stories compiled by LDS Publisher.

In "Christmas Stash," Angie is a young adult learning to set aside childhood rivalries and deepen her family relationships this Christmas.

Kayley in "The Two-Hundred Forty-fourth Ornament" (winner of the 2011 LDS Publisher Christmas Story Contest Reader's Choice award) is a young but wise second-grade teacher performing her yearly quest to soften the "Santa Claus truth" blow for her favorite student, but this year her efforts give back to rekindle the Christmas spirit in her own life.

Sing We Now of Christmas: An Advent Anthology contains another one of my Christmas stories, and is a collection of stories using Christmas carols as inspiration.

In "The Suit," Cameron feels like life in his late-twenties has stagnated to extreme boredom, and his holiday job posing as Santa Claus at the local mall while his dream crush works at the perfume shop on the corner of his Christmas Palace just rubs in his lack of success in everything. But a chance meeting with a mysterious hobo in the park start making Cameron think of Santa Claus a little differently.

Sing We Now of Christmas is a beautiful volume created completely by donation; no contributors have been compensated, and all proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the National Down Syndrome Society.
